about

Brad Pitch | soundcloud.com/bradpitch

In March 2015, we brought you two EPs from Russia. This month we will be bringing you two EPs from German producers (Polymorphren and Brad Pitch), showing two different perspectives on the Footwork/Juke sound

The first EP of the month (soundcloud.com/goodstreetrecords/sets/gstr046) was on the darker tip. Shake That Ass from Brad Pitch is a bit more upbeat and club ready. Blending elements of Footwork (of course), Breakbeat and Jungle, these two tracks present both a departure from and a revisit of Footwork rhythms

The two tracks move away from the traditional 160bpm of Footwork/Juke- title track Shake That Ass is 152bpm and Breakbeat is 164bpm. This movement away from 160 is by no means a departure from the traditional sound... but a bold way of reinterpreting the Footwork sound

As with all Good Street releases, this EP is unique in its approach and thinking. We always aim to present fresh ideas, and this release is no different
